President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent congratulations and best wishes to U.S. President Joseph Biden on the occasion of U.S. Independence Day, the official Turkmen media reported on Monday.

"We highly appreciate the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the United States and firmly believe that they will continue to develop and expand the interests of the peoples of two countries," the Turkmen President said in the letter.

President Berdimuhamedov wished President Joseph Biden good health, prosperity, peace, further progress, and prosperity to the people of the United States.

U.S. Independence Day was adopted on July 4, 1776, on the basis of the country's Declaration of Independence, and the date is observed annually in the country as a federal holiday.
