Imam Abu Hanifa Expo Generates $45 Million in Deals

The 2nd Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Expo and Trade Fair in Afghanistan concluded on Sunday with the signing of agreements worth $45 million between Afghan and foreign companies, the TOLOnews television network reported on Sunday, citing Mohammad Yousuf Momand, acting head of Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI).

The seven-day event, which took place at the Kabul Exhibition Center, featured more than 1,000 exhibitors from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Türkiye. 

Mohammad Yousuf Momand, acting head of the ACCI, also added that, during the expo, women entrepreneurs had more than 41 million Afs in sales. 

"We have signed around 500 small and major agreements between Afghan and foreign traders," said Khairuddin Mayal, deputy head of the ACCI.

The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, noted that Afghanistan reached self-sufficiency in medicine, producing 15 types of medicines based on good standards.

The 2nd Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Expo and Trade Fair was organized by Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment from July 16 to 22.
