Representatives of the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant and the Chinese machinery corporation Weichai held a meeting, focusing particularly on the modernization of the vessel "Saparmyrat Niyazov," as reported by the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary agency (Turkmen Maritime and River Roads) on Thursday.
During the meeting, representatives from the Chinese company familiarized themselves with the shipyard's activities, its production capabilities, and a wide range of high-tech products, including the assembly workshops of the plant and the work area.
The parties held productive negotiations regarding potential cooperation, considering various options for replacing engines and diesel generators while optimizing the technical characteristics of the ship's equipment.
Representatives from Weichai visited the vessel "Saparmyrat Niyazov," slated for modernization, and thoroughly examined the engine room layout and main equipment.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in long-term cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
