Turkmenistan Aims for Significant Increase in Foreign Trade, Reaching Turnover of $20 Billion by 2025, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

The government projects a GDP growth rate of 6.3%, and retail turnover is expected to rise to 169.2 billion manats.

These goals belong to the program "Revival of the New Era of a Mighty State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan from 2022 to 2052" and the "President of Turkmenistan's Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country from 2022 to 2028."

The strategy emphasizes activating all sectors of the economy, increasing the share of the private sector, and attracting foreign investments. Turkmenistan expects to attract capital investments amounting to 40.1 billion manats in 2025, which will accelerate the construction of housing and social facilities.

The country's budget focuses on the social sphere, with projected expenditures in this area reaching 76.1%. The program also plans to modernize the financial system, implement innovative technologies, and develop the domestic market.

The government gives special attention to modernizing banking and payment systems, expanding remote financial management capabilities, and introducing new technologies such as contactless payments (NFC) and QR codes.

According to the report, the international agency Fitch improved the country's rating, opening new prospects for attracting investments and enhancing foreign economic activity.

The development program for Turkmenistan in 2025 will contribute to sustainable progress, improve the living standards of the population, and ensure the successful integration of the country into the global economy.
