The Guwlyduz enterprise of the Türkmenhimiýa state concern has established supplies of granulated salt to private companies in Afghanistan. Industries such as petrochemicals, food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and heating systems widely use this type of salt, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

Guwlyduz can increase the total production of high-quality food salt to 40,000 tons per year. It produces 2,500 tons of granulated technical salt annually.

By the end of 2024, the total amount of salt mined reached 8,910 tons, fulfilling the production plan by 101.5%. The company also achieved high results in granulated salt production, producing 7,920 tons. The volume of packaged food salt reached 2,357 tons, with growth rates increasing by 117.5%.

During a recent Cabinet of Ministers meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the construction of new workshops for producing various types of salt at "Guwlyduz" and instructed the necessary work to be carried out.

Enterprises processing vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish demand food salt. Private entrepreneurs are also interested in salt extracted for industrial processing. One of the key achievements has been enriching salt with potassium iodide, which UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and the International Council for the Control of Diseases Caused by Iodine Deficiency highly praised.
