Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Armenia reached $22 million in 2024, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan said during the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Armenia on March 26 in Yerevan.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov led the Turkmen delegation, while Armenian Minister David Khudatyan headed the Armenian delegation, as reported by the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in trade, the economy, and the fuel and energy sectors, along with collaboration in education, science, culture, tourism, sports, agriculture, transport, construction, and media.
Khudatyan emphasized the need to expand trade and economic ties and expressed confidence in further growth in bilateral trade turnover.
The talks highlighted Turkmenistan’s exports of textile products and light industry goods to Armenia, while Armenia supplies chemical and pharmaceutical products, agricultural goods, and precious metals, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Armenia.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a protocol outlining key agreements and future cooperation plans.
