A modern market with 700 trading spaces will be built in the city of Köneurgenç in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz velayat, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev announced during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
The project will include grocery and industrial goods markets, retail stores, warehouse facilities, a 150-space car sales area, and a parking lot for 200 vehicles.
According to Atagulyev, the project aims to modernize trade and improve the quality of services. All construction is being carried out in accordance with current standards and the needs of the population, the Chairman of the Cabinet Ministers Atagulyyev noted.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that consistent efforts are being made to develop the country’s trade infrastructure. The head of state instructed officials to ensure the practical implementation of the project.
Several other national issues were also discussed at Friday’s Cabinet meeting.
