National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Balkan velayat on Tuesday to inspect preparations for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), scheduled to be held in August in the Awaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmenistan’s state news agency reported.

During the working trip, Berdimuhamedov toured the facilities designated to host the conference. He reviewed design plans showcasing the layout and infrastructure of various zones within the complex and received briefings on key venues and spaces intended for meetings and negotiations.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty stressed the importance of maintaining a unified architectural style throughout the site. He emphasized that landscaping, building facades, and the overall environment should form a cohesive composition that reflects the international stature of the forum and Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality.

Among the planned features are modular corridors that will house exhibitions highlighting achievements of Turkmenistan and participating countries, as well as depictions of the peaceful and prosperous life of the Turkmen people. These visual elements are intended to complement the conference’s content and reinforce its scale and significance.

Berdimuhamedov underscored the need for efficient logistics and transport services, including the use of modern passenger buses. He also stressed the importance of ensuring safety, reliable communication, and uninterrupted internet access throughout the event.

He reviewed the technical infrastructure of the complex, with special attention given to creating comfortable conditions for speakers, interpreters, and media representatives. Stable telecommunications and continuous internet connectivity were highlighted as key priorities in the run-up to the UN conference.

At the end of the visit, Berdimuhamedov held discussions with relevant officials, offering guidance on further preparations and expressing confidence in the successful organization of the international event.

The National Leader’s working visit to Balkan velayat is ongoing.
