Construction continues at a rapid pace in Dashoguz, aimed at renewing the urban environment and expanding infrastructure. Residential buildings and multi-purpose facilities are being built on sites cleared of old structures and vacant land, Turkmen official media reported Tuesday.

New residential districts with developed infrastructure are taking shape along Shagadam, Gorogly, and Al-Khwarezmi streets, as well as along the road to the international airport. The projects make efficient use of existing utility networks and improve living conditions for residents.

Construction of social facilities is also accelerating. Cultural and public service institutions are being introduced, increasing access to services for the population.

Development is funded from multiple sources. Surrounding areas are being upgraded with lighting and pedestrian zones.

Major projects this year include a new residential district on Zaman Street, featuring seven-story, high-comfort apartment buildings.

The southern part of Dashoguz remains one of the city’s fastest-growing areas. Along the road to the Gorogly district, individual houses, cottages, multi-family buildings, and commercial facilities are under construction. A new school and kindergarten are also being built, supporting a comprehensive approach to district development.

In September 2025, a new township called Bitaraplyk in the Koneurgench district of Dashoguz province was officially opened. The settlement was constructed in line with modern urban planning standards.
