Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Monday inaugurated a new livestock complex operated by the Altyn halka State Enterprise and reviewed ongoing upgrades to Turkmenistan’s water management infrastructure, according to Turkmen official media.
The complex is equipped with a modern digital management system. It includes three buildings designed to house 500 head of cattle, two buildings for 200 calves, a milking unit, a laboratory, a feed area and storage facilities for equipment and fodder.

The laboratory is equipped with technology from the United States, Japan, Germany, Poland and Bulgaria. Specialists analyze feed and assess milk indicators to ensure quality control at every stage of production.
The complex covers 375 hectares, including more than 9 hectares occupied by facilities and more than 365 hectares allocated for growing fodder crops.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev briefed the president on plans to build new facilities — a poultry farm capable of producing 15 million eggs and 1,000 tons of chicken meat annually, and livestock complexes for 1,000 head of cattle in the Ak Bugday district of Ahal province.
Berdimuhamedov said expanding production capacity in the agricultural sector strengthens the country’s food security and directed officials to continue work in this area.
In March 2025, the president signed a resolution authorizing the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Production to develop the project for the Altyn halka livestock farm.
