Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with European Union Ambassador to Turkmenistan Beata Pęksa in Ashgabat on Wednesday to discuss preparations for upcoming visits at the highest and high levels.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the sides reviewed prospects for cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The meeting included an exchange of views on current regional and international issues.
The diplomats also discussed the implementation of ongoing and potential joint projects in high technology, transport, the economy, energy, environmental protection and vocational education.
An EU–Turkmenistan business forum is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in 2026.
