Turkmenistan’s construction and industrial sector met its production and work plan at 133.9% in January 2026, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov said at a regular government meeting Friday.
According to the Turkmen official media, the plan was fulfilled at 105.6% under the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, 119.1% under the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, and 114.9% under the Ministry of Energy.
The deputy prime minister said the State Concern Turkmenhimiya recorded performance of 170.8%.
The State Agency for Road Construction Management fulfilled its work plan at 106.2%, while the Ashgabat city administration reached 112.9%.
After the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said strict oversight is needed to ensure the implementation of tasks set for the construction sector. He also stressed the importance of keeping domestic chemical enterprises operating in line with current requirements and expanding the capacity of the energy sector.
The president instructed officials to strengthen control over the construction and maintenance of highways and to ensure that buildings and facilities are completed to a high standard and commissioned on schedule.
