Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Bahar Seyidova on Friday briefed the government on preparations for the upcoming international tourism exhibition and conference Turkmentravel — 2026.
According to official Turkmen media, the event is scheduled for April in Ashgabat.
The forum, organized with support from the World Tourism Organization, will include seminars, roundtable discussions, and a scientific-practical conference.
Seyidova noted that registration for forum participants is ongoing and submitted a proposal for the president’s consideration.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of developing the tourism sector and strengthening international cooperation. He instructed officials to ensure that the exhibition and conference are held to a high standard.
The government meeting also addressed several other key state issues, resulting in relevant decisions.
