Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday that March 29 marks the fifth anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, state media reported.
Since its establishment, the foundation has maintained close cooperation with international organizations, the president said. In recognition of their contribution to strengthening international cooperation in this area, Berdimuhamedov signed a decree awarding representatives of several organizations Turkmenistan’s Arkadag medal.
The president also congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and National Leader of the Turkmen people, as well as the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov also extended congratulations to the National Leader and the president on behalf of the meeting participants.
The government meeting also reviewed a number of other state matters, with relevant decisions adopted.
