The next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will take place on July 7–8 in Ashgabat, said Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev at a reception marking Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.

According to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, preparations for the meeting are currently underway.

Atagulyyev said that the intergovernmental commission is an effective mechanism for strengthening bilateral relations, providing a platform for regular exchange of views on key issues of cooperation, the adoption of joint decisions, and coordination of their implementation.

The Vice Premier noted that trade and economic cooperation remains a priority area of bilateral relations, including transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, industry, and new technologies.
