Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected construction work at the International Pediatric Center in the southern part of Ashgabat, which is nearing completion, Turkmen state media reported Friday.
Officials briefed the President on the progress of construction, the equipping of the center’s departments and landscaping around the complex. They also presented plans for the center, including clinical laboratories, operating and inpatient rooms, a conference hall, a children’s playground and other facilities.
The center, which is scheduled to open during the professional holiday of health care and pharmaceutical industry workers in the year marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, will have five floors and provide medical services to children older than 3. The center plans to establish medical services in cooperation with leading clinics around the world.
Given that the center is intended for children, Berdimuhamedov said its rooms should provide an environment suited to the world of younger generations. He also instructed officials to draw on international experience and make active use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in medical services.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also stressed the need to ensure the electronic storage of medical treatment records, use the center’s equipment efficiently and for the long term, and provide doctors with opportunities to learn from advanced international practices and the latest scientific achievements.
During the visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed officials to complete the construction work to a high standard and within the established deadlines, and to make thorough preparations for the opening ceremony of the International Pediatric Center.
