The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan hosted the vice-president of the Danieli S.p.A Italian company Renato Pezzano on May 14 to discuss planned metallurgical plant construction, the press service of UIET reports.
The Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Alexander Dadayev informed the guest about the perspective projects of Turkmen entrepreneurs, including the development of rich natural resources of the country, modern high-technological production design on their processing, and the expansion of the range of building materials produced with local raw materials.
The representative of the Danieli’s management gave presentation about the world-renowned company specialized in designing and manufacturing equipment for the steel industry, and turn-key construction of metallurgic industrial complexes.
The sides agreed to start a feasibility study for the project to construct of a new steel-smelting enterprise in Turkmenistan. The study will include the amount of iron ore raw materials available and analysis of its structural components.
“Turkmengeologiya” State Corporation discovered a large iron ore deposit (about 70-75 million tons) at the Chagyl field in the west of Turkmenistan. According to the calculations by specialists, the ore contains 20 percent iron.
