The S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University conducted a training seminar at Bayramali agro-industrial vocational school on the theme: “Organized conducting of the breeding season of young livestock and the importance of breeding works in raising livestock”.
The three-day seminar was organized by the State Service for Breeding and Grade Testing of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
Specialists of livestock farms, secondary vocational school teachers and velayat students took part in the seminar. In the speeches, the participants talked about the peculiarities of breeding during the period when young lambs are seperated from their mothers in compliance with the relevant requirements, as well as on improving the breeds, preserving the gene pool, and the application of ancient livestock breeding methods in complience with the latest scientific achievements.
The specialists were familiarized with the accumulated experience in creating a specially selected herd of black and gray lambs of the Garakoli species in the livestock farms of the Mary velayat. On the last day of the seminar, the experts exchanged experiences on obtaining healthy lambs on pastures of the Garakoli livestock-breeding farm of the Yoloten district.
