The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly with the Center for Center for International Relations Analysis in Azerbaijan held a round table discussion on the first Caspian Economic Forum set for Aug.12 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone located at the east side of the Caspian Sea.
The event was attended by the heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Baku, parliament members, representatives of financial, economic and investment institutions, experts, scholars and Turkmen students studying in Azerbaijan.
The participants stressed that the organization of the first Caspian Economic Forum was initiated by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, noting the significant role of Turkmenistan in regional and international transport and logistics, the vast natural resources of the country, its modern infrastructure facilities and prospects for international cooperation in these areas.
The first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan will be held on the anniversary of an agreement on the legal status of the Caspian Sea on Aug.12. Forum aims to accelerate economic, trade and investment cooperation in Caspian Sea and nearby regions.
