The first batch of environmentally friendly gasoline, shipped from the world's only plant for the production of synthetic gasoline from natural gas, arrived at the Akina station in Afghanistan on Monday, Turkmen State news agency reports.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, taking part in the inauguration of the new plant on June 28, launched the shipment of a large batch of the first products of the plant - gasoline and liquefied natural gas - to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan by railway and road transport. 60 tons of the product was sent as humanitarian aid to a neighboring country.

At the Akina station, ECO-93 and LNG gasoline and a convoy of gasoline were met by Akina Azim Bashir Ahmad, hyakim of the settelement, Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Ghulam Resul Aymak, Akina customs station officials, representatives of oil and gas and railway enterprises, Afghan media outlets, and Anadolu Turkish news agency.

During a solemn ceremony of handing over humanitarian goods to the Afghan side, officials, local authorities and residents expressed their sincere appreciation for the constant fraternal assistance.

The Atamyrat-Ymamnazar-Akina railway was commissioned in November 2016. The international railway, built by the Turkmen side, is expected to become an important link between Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and South Asia.
