Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Turkmenistan on Sunday, where he will take part in the I Caspian Economic Forum on Monday, TASS reports.

The agenda of the two-day visit of the Russian Prime Minister also includes a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to speak at a plenary meeting and visit the International Exhibition of Innovative Technologies of the Caspian littoral states as part of the Caspian Economic Forum.

"Dmitry Medvedev is scheduled to meet with the President and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to discuss topical issues of Russian-Turkmen cooperation and interaction in the Caspian region," the press service of the Russian government said.

The I Caspian Economic Forum is taking place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenbashi on the Caspian coast. The Russian delegation is headed by Medvedev.
