Ýumak private enterprise, which celebrates its fifth anniversary, sent more than 1.6 thousand tons of milk and about 50 tons of meat for processing since the beginning of the year.
Five years ago, the enterprise established a livestock farm at the vacant land received on a rental basis in Ahal velayat’s Sarahs etrap. The number of cattle has tripled since then. Now the farm contains more than a thousand Holstein-Friesian cattle that are known as the world's highest-production dairy animals.
The farmers receive more than six tons of high fat milk daily from a herd with over 650 cows. According to the Deputy Director of Ýumak Jumamyrat Hojaniyazov, the farm plans to increase daily milk yield to 15 tons in a year. This opportunity appeared with the improvement of the feed base.
A set of agrotechnical measures was carried out on 600 hectares of land allocated to the farm, which allowed increasing soil fertility. The farmers of the enterprise currently cultivate corn, barley, triticale (a hybrid of wheat and rye), soy, lucerne on the fields.b
