Foreign Ministers of Central Asia Discuss Key Areas of Cooperation
The Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the main components of the international agenda, which included the energy and transport security, enhancement of the investment climate, and protection of ecology.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov attended the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asian countries, which took place on November 15-16 in Tashkent.

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the heads of external policy agencies of the Central Asia countries discussed the key aspects of cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The participants exchanged views on the main components of the international agenda, which included the energy and transport security, enhancement of the investment climate, and protection of ecology.

The parties considered the opportunities of expanding strategic partnership for maintaining economic growth, stability and security in the region. They discussed in detail the issues related to the preparation to the upcoming consultative meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states.

During his speech,Turkmen Foreign Minister noted the significance of coordinated collaboration between the Central Asian countries based on the principles of brotherhood, good-neighborliness and mutual respect, as well as underlined the importance of geopolitical, economic and transport-logistical potential of the region.

The Foreign Ministers agreed to continue the joint work aimed at the overall development of the region which directly affects the progress of the whole Eurasian continent.
