Turkmen President Instructs to Increase Number of ATMs in Villages
Dayhanbank has installed 512 ATMs in rural areas.

The number of ATMs in rural areas of Turkmenistan must be increased, President of Turkmenistan gave the relevant instructions to the heads of Central Bank and Daýhanbank during the Thursday working meeting with the management of the agricultural sector of the country.

The Head of State instructed the officials to pay agricultural manufacturers for the delivered crops on time, increase the number of ATMs in rural areas, ensure the constant availability of cash in them and to keep proper control over this process.

Turkmen President noted that the resolution was adopted in October to ensure the systematic issuance of preferential bank loans to agricultural producers for growing crops and for the purchase of machinery and instructed the relevant financial structures of the country to keep this process under strict control.

The President then assigned the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev to take measures to widely involve entrepreneurs in agricultural production and strengthen the country's food security. The Turkmen Leader also instructed the Deputy Chairman to exercise control over the intended use of land plots provided to representatives of the private sector.

According to the Dayhanbank’s August report, the bank has installed 512 ATMs and 2,296 payment terminals in rural areas.
