Turkmenistan, Pakistan to Discuss Insurance of Gas Supplies Through TAPI
The 1840-kilometer TAPI gas pipeline will provide the opportunity to annually deliver 33 billion cubic meters of Turkmen natural gas to South Asian countries.

Turkmenistan and Pakistan will soon discuss the insurance of natural gas supplies through the future Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline. The talks are scheduled for the mid of January 2020, the News reports citing the source in the Pakistan’s Ministry of Energy.

According to the document, the Turkmen delegation will brief Pakistan’s officials on mechanism to cope with gas risk in Afghanistan.

The parties will also review the gas pricing formula during the negotiations in Pakistan.
