Täze balyk private enterprise located in Mary velayat released more than 6.5 tons of fry into the Hanhovuz water reservoir.
In addition to fishing in the Hankhovuz and Saryyaz water reservoirs, the company is also engaged in their reproduction.
The company uses special boats and specialized fishing equipment to meet this year’s production targets.
In Turkmenistan, the fishing industry was privatized. There are similar private fishing enterprises in the country like Ak Durna in Dashoguz velayat and Myradym in Lebap velayat.
The total area of the artificial reservoirs for growing fish is 1,216 hectares throughout the country. 1,100 hectares of those reservoirs are intended for the habitat of commercial fish, and the rest 116 hectares are pools for growing one-year-old fish.
