Turkmen Geologists Find New Hydrocarbon Reserves at Uzynada Field
Four exploratory wells from 6,800 to 7,150 meters deep, drilled at the new field, yielded an industrial influx of hydrocarbons.

The results of geological exploration at the Uzynada hydrocarbon field, located in the south-west of Turkmenistan, confirmed the presence of significant reserves of natural resources.

Four exploratory wells from 6,800 to 7,150 meters deep, drilled at the new field, yielded an industrial influx of hydrocarbons.

The divisions of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation and the Türkmennebit State Concern are planning to complete the joint drilling of two ultra-deep wells in March-April.

Geological exploration is aimed at increasing the efficiency of using the resource base of the Uzynada field. According to experts, drilling a few more wells will more accurately determine the structure and size of the underground storage of hydrocarbon resources.

Exploration and development of the field will provide an additional increase in oil and gas condensate production. Memorandum of Understanding signed at the end of March 2019 between the Türkmennebit State Concern and the ARETI International Group, which provides for cooperation in the development of the Uzynada field, opened new opportunities in this direction.
