Türkmendemibetonönümleri State Enterprise is building the Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise of Türkmenhaly State Association in Dashoguz velayat’s Gubadag city.
The carpet weaving enterprise is one of 13 large enterprises planned to be commissioned in the northern region on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality. The complex of buildings of the enterprise will include an administrative building, a production facility, a workshop, a warehouse and auxiliary facilities.
Turkmen carpet weaving enterprises will also appear in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats, as well as in Ashgabat city this year.
Türkmenhaly State Association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool carpets from Turkmenistan to the global markets.
The main task of the association is the production and sale of Turkmen carpets and carpet products, conservation of hand carpet weaving tradition, and regeneration of old carpet ornaments and products.
The association includes 8 enterprises for the production of traditional Turkmen carpets and these enterprises in turn contain over 100 carpet making sites and workshops located in all velayats of Turkmenistan. These enterprises employ more than 5 thousand carpet-weavers.
