Turkmen, Belarusian Diplomats Discuss Measures to Prevent Spread of Coronavirus

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty, the Embassy of Belarus in Turkmenistan said in a Friday press release.

According to the statement, the diplomats discussed issues of bilateral agenda, including measures taken by Belarus and Turkmenistan to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and to protect the interests of citizens abroad.

The parties noted the friendly nature of relations and a high level of cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan in issues on overcoming the negative consequences of the epidemiological situation in the world.

According to World Health Organization’s data, there are 86 confirmed cases of coronavirus with no related deaths in Belarus and Turkmenistan has no confirmed coronavirus cases.
