President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Premier Shamuhammet Durdyliyev during the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday to review the plans on the construction of new buildings and select only the most necessary social facilities, due to the difficult situation in global economy.
The Head of State instructed the Vice-Premier to add amendments to the construction program and submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration in short period of time.
President Berdimuhamedov also noted the need to continue the construction of the energy ring within the country and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission and communications system, despite the current difficulties in the world.
Addressing the Chairman of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern Niyazly Niyazliyev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that taking into account the unfavorable factors in the global economy, namely the coronavirus pandemic and serious problems in the stock markets, falling global oil and gas prices, the work of the management of the industry causes dissatisfaction.
A decrease in the rate of production of mineral fertilizers at many plants does not allow to form the necessary reserves, which in turn does not create conditions for making up for the economic losses and ensuring macroeconomic stability, the Turkmen President said.
In this regards, the Head of State handed a severe reprimand to Niyazly Niyazliyev, the Chairman of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, for unsatisfactory performance of his duties and shortcomings in his work. The Head of State instructed the official to resolve the shortcomings as soon as possible.
