The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the heads and representatives of the agencies and specialized structures of the United Nations (UN) accredited in Turkmenistan summed up the results of joint actions during the first quarter of 2020 on Thursday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, UN Resident Coordinator and the heads of the offices of UNICEF, WHO, UNDP and UNFPA in Turkmenistan attended the meeting in the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The session was held in the format of exchange of views and in the spirit of constructive dialogue.
The parties also discussed the perspectives of cooperation for the upcoming period and the implementation of joint plans and programmes.
The heads and representatives of the UN agencies underlined the strategic character of cooperation and expressed gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan for constant assistance.
The sides noted the coordinated mechanism of partnership of Turkmenistan with the UN and stated the importance of a number of documents which serve as a base for practical work, including the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN for 2021-2025.
