Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan hosted an online meeting with the management of the Russia-based TRANSOIL-Terminal company on Thursday.
The sides discussed the cooperation in the field of shipping, logistics and the supply of agricultural products.
The meeting participants underlined the presence of potential for the expansion of trade and economic ties, including a developed port infrastructure in the Caspian region.
The parties emphasized that the cooperation established in many key areas between the business circles of the two countries has been characterized by good development dynamics.
Representatives of the Russian side acquainted their Turkmen colleagues with the capabilities of their company, which owns a specialized terminal for receiving and shipping vegetable oils from rail, road and water transport, and for their storage in tank farms. The company’s terminal is located near the city of Narimanov on the right bank of the Volga River.
The Turkmen side was also represented by the representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
