Turkmen Company to Produce Nearly 160 Thousand Computers for First-Graders
Around 154 thousand computers were gifted to first-graders in Turkmenistan last year.

Agzybirlik Tilsimaty joint venture will produce nearly 160 thousand computers for the first-graders in Turkmenistan this year.

According to the Resolution signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Ministry of Education is authorized to conclude a contract with the Agzybirlik Tilsimaty for the purchase of computers manufactured in Turkmenistan, their installation until August 25 and for their further maintenance.

Agzybirlik Tilsimat joint venture was established in 2018 by the Computer Technology Center under the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Chinese Hengsheng Lianhua Investment Management Co. Ltd. and Tongfang Hongkong Limited with the aim of manufacturing computer equipment in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on May 1, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Premier Chary Gylyjov to study the issue of setting up production of professional computers at Agzybirlik Tilsimaty enterprise.

The enterprise produced 80 thousand computers out of 154 thousand units that were gifted to the first-graders in Turkmenistan last year.

Every schoolchild going to the first grade in Turkmenistan has been receiving a computer as a gift since 2011.
