President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday inspected the projects of recreation facilities in the area of Gurtly Lake located in the northern part of Ashgabat.
The Head of State emphasized that the formation of a modern recreation infrastructure on the banks of the lake for an interesting pastime of the urban population, including children would be appropriate.
Along with facilities that include the necessary range of services for people of different ages, it is necessary to build large entertainment complexes, water attractions, as well as facilities for relevant services, the Turkmen Leader said, adding that in the near future, this place will become a favorite corner of Ashgabat’s citizens and its guests.
The Head of State got acquainted with projects of facilities, which are planned for construction on the shore of the lake, schemes of their locations and opportunities for the formation of recreation infrastructure.
Among the proposed projects are several summer cafeterias, a grocery store, sports and play grounds, terraces and gazebos for adults and children. accommodation complexes for staff, medical service and parking for ambulances.
After reviewing the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made some remarks and corrections and emphasized the need for improvement of the territories adjacent to the facilities and the creation of parks.
Turkmen President also emphasized the necessity of provision of parking lots for vacationers' cars and establishing public transport and taxi service.
The President also instructed to prepare proposals for the construction of cottages, cafes and restaurants with the participation of entrepreneurs of the country.
The Head of State instructed to study issues related to construction of special venues for organization of various sport competitions and noted the possibility of laying the shore of the lake with the golden sands of Karakum desert.
