Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a video conference meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov.
The officials noted with satisfaction that a solid legal base serves as a reliable foundation for the development of effective bilateral ties and reaffirmed their mutual desire to deepen fruitful cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.
The meeting participants particularly discussed investment projects in leading sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan, including in the chemical industry, in the fields of industrial cooperation and education, and in the transport sector.
The sides particularly noted the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan and companies of Tatarstan such as KAMAZ PJSC, Tatneft PJSC, Kazan Helicopter Plant PJSC, KER-Holding LLC and Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation JSC. The officials also underlined the successful functioning of the Turkmen-Tatar Working Group on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.
Heads of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) state concerns, Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Railways) and Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen motor vehicles) agencies, Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Russia (Kazan) also attended the meeting.
