The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov held a video conference meeting with the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency of the Russian Federation Taliya Minullina and the deputy head of the Agency for International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation Alexei Aidin, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on July 30.
General Counsellor of Turkmenistan in Kazan Atadurdy Bayramov, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, representatives of Tatarstan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Association of Enterprises and Industrialists, Export Corporation, Kazan Motor-Building Production Association, Scientific and Research Institute of Petrochemical Industry, M. Gorky Zelenodolsk Ship Building Plant, Poliz company and Ak Bars Bank also attended the session.
The meeting participants expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
According to the report, the officials also discussed the opening of Trade Office of Turkmenistan in Kazan, which is to support successful promotion of Turkmen products and commodities to Russian market, was one of the subjects of the meeting.
The parties also noted the importance of expanding the Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the Caspian Sea and considered the possibilities of using the logistics infrastructure of the Astrakhan region for the supply of Turkmen goods to Tatarstan.
The participants from Tatarstan expressed readiness to continue cooperation with Turkmenistan in the various spheres.
