Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Thursday hosted a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Turkmenistan Diego Ungaro who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country, the Turkmen Ministry said in a statement.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side highly appreciated the work of the diplomat, who in the course of his mission rendered significant assistance in strengthening the Turkmen-Italian relations in various areas of cooperation
In turn, The Italian Ambassador thanked the leadership of Turkmenistan for the created opportunities for work and comprehensive assistance to the activities of the Embassy.
The parties especially noted the strengthening of the political and diplomatic dialogue. A number of topical issues were also discussed, including the further expansion of trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The Turkmen side thanked the Ambassador for his significant contribution to the comprehensive development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy and expressed wishes for success in his future activities.
