Representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of Tukrmenistan and the United Arab Emirates held a virtual talks on Wednesday, Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The talks focused on the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the trade and economic sectors.
The meeting participants discussed the most important issues for expanding trade relations. The sides particularly proposed to increase the possibilities of export and import. In this regard, the interlocutors discussed the issues of export of Turkmen textile and carpet products to the UAE. The parties also discussed the export of food products produced by Turkmen entrepreneurs to the UAE.
The sides also reached agreements on the organization of business forums and online meetings of representatives of the private sectors of the two countries.
At the meeting, the Turkmen side included the heads and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and of other sectoral departments of the country. The Secretary General of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry Humayd Mohamed bin Salem and other representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry represented the UAE side.
