Modern disinfection terminals were commissioned at the border road and railway checkpoints, and at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.

From the first days of the spread of the new coronavirus in the world, the services involved in customs operations have implemented preventive measures and organizational work at the border checkpoints of Turkmenistan to prevent the spread of this virus.

According to the Turkmen State Customs Service’s Friday article, the service established clear systematic work at all state border checkpoints to implement sanitary and phytosanitary control and veterinary supervision, adding that the checkpoints were provided with all necessary medical equipment and medicines.

In addition, modern disinfection terminals were commissioned at the border road and railway checkpoints, and on the territory of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. The task of these terminals is the complete disinfection of cars arriving in the country, their trailers, railway cars and containers. Efforts have also been made to implement coordinated preventive and quarantine works at the border crossings of neighboring states.

The Customs Service said that it takes an active part in the implementation of important tasks on state regulation of foreign economic activity, making every effort to improve the convenience and efficiency of the transportation of goods through the country and ensure compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards.
