Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) was authorized to conclude a contract with Turkish Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. company for the construction of two gas turbines and the modernization of the power plant at the TCOR, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported on Thursday.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday signed the relevant Resolution, authorizing the Complex to enter at the expense of its own funds into a 18 month turnkey contract with the Turkish company.
Çalik Enerji is also involved in the construction of the ring power transmission system in Turkmenistan. The Turkish company will install telemechanics, communications and SCADA systems for the high-voltage power lines and stations.
