The periodic procurement of vaccines and other immunological agents that have a significant role in the prevention of various diseases became one of the important issues discussed during the meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan on Friday, TDH news agency reported on Friday.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution aimed at preventing diseases through vaccination and continuing mutually beneficial cooperation in this area with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The Resolution authorizes the Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry to sign from the Turkmen side the 2021-2025 Plan for the Purchase of Vaccines and Immunization Equipment under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and UNICEF regarding the provision of procurement services.
Noting the importance of measures in this direction, President Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of studying the best world experience in the field of healthcare and further strengthening fruitful cooperation with interested foreign partners - international organizations and relevant medical structures.
