From the first days of the emergence of a global epidemiological threat, Turkmenistan has been taking active steps to prevent infectious diseases. The state introduced all the necessary protective measures in a timely manner and developed a unified national strategy covering organizational, legal, financial, economic, medical and sanitary-quarantine aspects.
According to the TDH news agency, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday signed a Resolution approving the Procedure for carrying out special and more enhanced additional types of control at the transit checkpoints of the State Border of Turkmenistan in the event of any situations that could cause massive harm to the health of the population.
The document prescribes the implementation of the mentioned Procedure by the relevant ministries and departments of the country, which provides for the above-mentioned types of control at checkpoints, disinfection work on road and rail transport and fumigation treatment against insects in accordance with the results of the initial inspection of imported goods subject to mandatory quarantine.
