Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Business Council on Wednesday held its first meeting to discuss the strategy of building up multifaceted interstate cooperation.
According to the TDH news agency, heads and leading specialists of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries and representatives of business structures took part in the online negotiations.
Underlining the existing trade and economic opportunities and the enormous potential for expanding ties in various fields, the meeting participants expressed their belief that the current business negotiations would give impetus to the further intensification of the traditional Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation based on the bonds of friendship, historical, cultural and spiritual community of the two fraternal neighboring peoples.
The parties also discussed priority areas for expanding business partnership, including trade and economic sphere, textile, construction and chemical industries, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, communications, environmental protection, and the agricultural sector.
Confirming their interest in expanding fruitful relations, the meeting participants expressed confidence that the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Business Council will serve to increase the volume of mutual trade, stimulate investment and strengthen contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
