President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a working meeting on Monday signed a Resolution on the approval of the volume of a special agricultural land fund, TDH news agency reports.
The Resolution approved the volumes of a special agricultural land fund for joint-stock companies, farms, other legal entities and citizens of Turkmenistan.
In accordance with the document, producers will be provided with land plots for use for a period of 99 years for cultivation of wheat, cotton and other crops included in the state order on 70% of the provided areas on a contractual basis, and the remaining land can be planted with other crops for a science-based crop rotation.
Producers who have received land plots from the land fund must introduce them into crop rotation, having carried out appropriate work within 3 years to improve the reclamation state of the received land plots.
In case of surplus products from the established state order plan, the producers can at their discretion leave at their disposal or hand over to the state at the state purchase price.
The hyakimliks (administrations) of the velayats will establish a plan for producers to grow wheat, cotton and other crops included in the state order, and will monitor their implementation.
