The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 19th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program on Monday.
According to the TDH news agency’s report, the Turkmen delegation is led by the Ministry of Finance and Economy as the National Coordinator in CAREC and included representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Central Bank, the State Committee on Statistics and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy.
A special message from the President of Afghanistan - the country that chairs CAREC this year and a speech by the President of the Asian Development Bank and a statement by the World Bank were presented during the online forum.
The agenda of the conference included matters of strengthening cooperation in order to restore economic stability and growth, employment and job creation, macroeconomic prospects of the CAREC member countries in the post-pandemic period.
The CAREC tourism and gender strategies and the 2030 Program Results Framework were submitted for consideration and approval to the participants of the online meeting.
A Joint Statement was adopted as a result of the 19th Ministerial Conference. In the statement, the ministers noted the progress in the implementation of the CAREC’s Strategy 2030, confirmed the commitment of the parties to regional cooperation in order to solve novel issue and realize the existing economic potential.
