Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan on Wednesday hosted a video conference meeting with representatives of the Foreign Affairs Office of Henan Province of the People's Republic of China to discuss the possibilities of establishing a bilateral mutually beneficial partnership with the province in the fields of transport and logistics, trade and agriculture.
According to the TDH news agency’s report, representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, the Türkmenýüpek CJSC, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways) and Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Sea and River Lines) agencies also attended the meeting.
The creation of a modern logistics system in Turkmenistan contributes to the intensification of the Turkmen-Chinese trade and economic cooperation. It is aimed at the effective development of interstate relations throughout the Eurasian continent, the report said.
During the exchange of views, the officials emphasized the productivity of such meetings in order to develop common approaches for drawing up a roadmap for effective partnership.
Expressing confidence that the Turkmen-Chinese relations will further strengthen and develop, the meeting participants noted that that there are necessary conditions for this to happen and mutual desire for mutually beneficial cooperation.
