The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) hosted an online meeting with the participation of specialists from the UK Department of International Trade, representatives of the UIET and the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov.
According to Rysgal newspaper’s Monday issue, the meeting participants discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of agriculture. The sides particularly exchanged views on the achievements of biotechnology and genetics in agriculture, animal husbandry and fish farming.
The foreign representative were acquainted with the activities of Turkmen businesses in the agro-industrial complex, the created opportunities and the set tasks. In this regard, Turkmen side presented the work carried out in modern complexes and wide agricultural lands, as well as the results of international cooperation.
In addition, the parties discussed the development of agricultural production on a scientific basis, through the introduction of new technologies, projects aimed at resource conservation and ensuring food abundance, and ways of developing relations in this direction. The speakers highly appreciated the conditions created to strengthen business ties between Turkmenistan and European countries.
