Ashgabat will host the International Investment Forum for Attracting Investment into Turkmen Oil and Gas Industry on May 12-13. The forum will provide the platform to discuss global trends in the development of the fuel and energy sector and the implementation of regional projects in this area, including the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, Ashgabat-based Orient news outlet reported on Saturday.
The event, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, will be held both in the traditional format and online.
The forum is organized by Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) state concerns, Türkmengeologiýa (Turkmen Geology) State Corporation and the the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan in partnership with Turkmen Forum Economic Society and the UK-based GaffneyCline.
Presentations and panel sessions will take place to exchange experience and update participants on the status of key projects that are currently underway in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan.
Senior management and representatives of both Turkmen State organizations and leading international oil and gas companies, as well as major international financial institutions are expected to participate in the conference.
The event is a prestigious business forum, which is held with the aim of attracting investments in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, developing and strengthening international partnerships between Turkmen state organizations and international oil and gas companies.
