Ashgabat will host Investment Forum of Turkmenistan’s manufacturers and private businesses next month, according to the report by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During the online government meeting on Friday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was briefed by the Vice-Premier Bayramgeldy Ovezov on the preperations for the Investment Forum which will be jointly organized by the country’s commodity producers and entrepreneurs, and proposed to hold the event on April 8-9.

Taking into account the modern infrastructure of the transport and communications sector, the creation of new enterprises is envisaged by attracting investments from the private sector of the country, the report says.
During the meeting, Berdimuhamedov said processing industry in the country is developing on a high pace as a result of successfully implemented comprehensive programs and state support provided to small and medium-sized businesses.
Berdimuhamedov also pointed out the importance of the systematic market research and constant analysis of the needs of domestic consumers, in addition to the introduction of advanced production technologies by private businesses operating in the transport and communications sector of the economy.
The share of the non-state sector in GDP of Turkmenistan currently stands at 70% and is expected to reach 70.6% this year.
