The Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) Dovran Hudayberdiyev held a meeting with the vice-presidents of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Murychev and Sergey Krasilnikov last Wednesday in Moscow. Taking into account the global health crisis, the parties noted the possibility of producing COVID-19 vaccines in Turkmenistan, including for the purpose of their further export to its bordering countries.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Coordinating Council of CIS Business Center for Economic Development Anatoly Kazakov and General Director of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation (FBA EAC) Oleg Berezovoy, the RSPP said in its press release.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the potential areas of development of Russian-Turkmen cooperation, including interaction between business structures and new initiatives to expand dialogue both in traditional fields and formats, and in new areas of cooperation and investment, according to the statement.
The sides also discussed cooperation in the fields of construction, agriculture, including the construction of vegetable greenhouses, and the participation of Russian investors in Turkmenistan’s privatization programs.
The officials also considered issues of the simplification of the issuance of business visas and the establishment of interbank cooperation in carrying out settlement operations.
Created in 1990, the RSPP unites thousands of Russian companies, and industrial, scientific, financial and commercial organizations from all regions of the country.
